Lalita Chillar Suicide Case
- Lalita first met with Rohit at zym. after that they became friends. Since then they got into a relationship.
- When Lalita told her parents that she wanted to marry Rohit, they initially protested. But on the insistence of Rohit and his family, Lalita’s father Karan Singh agreed.
- On 16 March, 2016, She married Rohit Kumar, who represented Bengaluru Bulls in the Pro-Kabaddi League.
- Rohit went to Mumbai for work. He got a job in the Indian Navy under sports quota. While Lalita lived with her In-laws.
- After few month of marriage, Rohit’s parents started demanding a share in Lalita’s father’s property.
- On September 24, Lalita had a fight with her in-laws after which she returned to her parents’ house. To keep her busy, her parents enrolled her in a coaching class where she started preparing for competitive exams.
- Lalita Dabas, 27, committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan at her parents’ house in west Delhi in a span of two and a half hours on Monday night 17 October 2016. In her suicide note as well as audio and video clips left behind she has alleged that her in-laws “harassed” her for minor issues and Rohit asked her to go away from his life
